Everything your family needs to manage chores, trades, tokens and rewards — in one place.
Enter your username, tap Continue, then use the on-screen keypad to enter your 4-digit PIN.
Returning users log in with a username and 4-digit PIN. New members can create a profile and join or create a family — no account required.
After typing your username you're greeted by your coloured avatar. Enter your PIN on the on-screen keypad — nothing is typed, so no one can see it over your shoulder.
The family hub — member grid, join code, zone assignments and quick-access module tiles.
The Admin dashboard shows every family member with their role badge, the family join code, and all zone assignments — all without leaving the home screen.
Scroll past the zones section and you reach the four module tiles — your shortcuts to every major feature of the app. Urgent items show a counter badge.
Family overview with per-child progress, and a detailed per-chore view with daily bars and weekly pills.
Parents and Admins see every child's current week completion at a glance — percentage, chores done vs total, and a progress bar that turns green as the week improves.
Tap any child card to see their full chore list, with visual indicators for every day and week so they can see exactly where they stand.
Children swap or offload chores using tokens. Parents review every request before it takes effect.
Children can swap chores with each other or offload one to a sibling, spending tokens to do so. Every trade goes through a parent approval step before it takes effect.
Configurable monthly schemes with five trigger types — perfect week, thresholds, streaks, task bonuses and monthly completion.
One active scheme per family per month. Five trigger types let you reward different behaviours — from a single perfect week to maintaining a streak all month long.
Four roles control what each family member can see and do.

Step-by-step instructions, role permissions, troubleshooting and everything in between — all in one place.
Everything you need to create your profile, join your family and log in. Family Hub runs entirely in the browser — no app to install.
New to Family Hub? Start here. You'll create a profile, set a PIN, then either create a new family or join an existing one.
Share your family join code with new members. They create a profile, enter the code, and a join request appears on your Admin dashboard. Approve it to add them.
Tap the ⚙ gear icon on your dashboard to access profile settings. From here you can update your display name or change your PIN (your current PIN is required to confirm both changes).
Every user has one of four roles. Your role controls what screens you see and what actions you can take. Roles are set by Admins and can be changed at any time (within the limits below).
Platform-level access across all families. Can manage every family, add or remove other Super Admins, manage the global chore library, and archive or unarchive families. Typically used only by the app owner.
Full control within a family. Can manage members, approve join requests, open and close monthly cycles, manage zones and the chore library, configure reward schemes, approve trades and reset PINs. Maximum two Admins per family.
Can view all chores across the family, confirm or query completed chores, assign ad-hoc tasks, approve or reject trades, gift tokens and manage reward schemes when granted access by an Admin.
Personal dashboard showing only their own chores, token balance and reward progress. Can mark chores as done, initiate trade requests, and view earned rewards. Cannot see other children's data.

* Parent can manage reward schemes when granted access by an Admin.
Admins can change the role of any other member from the member management screen. Tap the role badge next to a member's name — a sheet appears with the available options. Changes take effect immediately.
Chores are grouped into zones assigned to children for the month. At month end, zones rotate automatically. Chores can repeat daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
Daily chores show a 7-segment bar representing Mon–Sun of the current week. Each segment is colour-coded:
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | Done and confirmed by a parent |
| 🟡 Amber | Today — pending action (mark done or confirm) |
| 🔴 Red | Lapsed — the day passed without being marked done |
| ⬜ Grey | Future day — not yet due |
Weekly and bi-weekly chores show a pill for each week of the month. The active week is amber. Confirmed weeks are green with a ✓. Lapsed weeks are red. Bi-weekly chores show strikethrough on skipped weeks.
From the chore tracker, tap "+ Assign task to child". Choose the child, describe the task, optionally attach a reward from the catalog, and confirm. The task appears immediately on the child's tracker. Children can also self-assign available ad-hoc tasks — doing so sends a parent notification to review and assign a reward.
A weekly summary is generated every Monday covering the previous week. Tap "View" on the green summary banner to see completion rates per child. The Reporting module (accessible from the Admin dashboard) provides monthly and quarterly completion trend charts for the whole family.
Children can swap chores with each other or offload one to a sibling, spending tokens to do so. Every trade requires parent approval before it takes effect.
Every child receives 2 tokens at the start of each month. Unspent tokens carry forward, up to a maximum of 4 carried tokens at any time. Parents and Admins can gift bonus tokens — these are uncapped and spent last.
| Type | Source | Cap | Spent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Auto-issued at cycle start | 2 per month | 1st |
| Carried | Unspent monthly tokens | Max 4 total | 2nd |
| Bonus | Gifted by Parent / Admin | Uncapped | Last |
A swap exchanges one chore for another between two children. Both children pay 1 token. The initiating child offers one of their chores and picks one of the other child's in return.
An offload lets a child pay another child to take on one of their chores. The initiating child pays 1 token; the recipient accepts or declines for free.
The app enforces several checks before allowing a trade to be submitted:
| Guard | Rule |
|---|---|
| Sufficient tokens | The initiator must have at least 1 token to spend. |
| No active trade | Neither child can be mid-trade on the same chore. |
| Chore not locked | A chore awaiting confirmation cannot be traded. |
| Recipient token check | For swaps, the recipient must also have at least 1 token. |
Pending trade requests appear in the "Trades & tokens" section of the parent or Admin dashboard. Tap the trade to review the details — both chores involved, the children, and any bonus forfeit warning — then approve or reject. Both children are notified of the outcome immediately.
From the Trades & Tokens parent view, scroll to "Gift tokens to a child". Select a child, use the stepper to choose the amount, and confirm. Gifted bonus tokens are added to the child's balance immediately and can be seen on their dashboard.
The rewards module lets parents define what children can earn each month and how. One scheme is active per family per month, with five types of earning trigger.
| Trigger | How it fires |
|---|---|
| 🎯 Perfect week | Child completes every chore in a given week without any lapses. |
| 📊 Threshold % | Child reaches a set completion % for the week (e.g. 80%) — rewards effort even after one miss. |
| 🔥 Streak milestone | Child achieves a run of qualifying weeks in a row (e.g. 3 weeks, 4 weeks). |
| ⭐ Task bonus | A specific reward attached to an individual chore — triggers automatically when that chore is confirmed. |
| 📅 Monthly completion | Child reaches an overall % for the entire month, evaluated when the Admin closes the month. |
The catalog is a reusable library of reward entries — things like "£5 cash", "Cinema trip" or "30 min extra screen time". Build the catalog first, then reference entries when configuring scheme triggers or ad-hoc task rewards. Entries can be reused across months and schemes.
Task bonuses attach a specific reward to a single chore. When that chore is confirmed complete, the reward triggers automatically — no manual action needed from a parent. Task bonuses are configured per child within the scheme form, with chores grouped by frequency for easy selection.
Parents and Admins can create one-off tasks for children with an optional reward attached, outside of the regular scheme. Children can also self-assign available ad-hoc tasks — doing so notifies the parent to review and assign a reward.
Once you've built a scheme you're happy with, save it as a template from the scheme detail screen. Next month (or for a new family), tap "New scheme → Use a template" to load it instantly. Templates can be renamed or deleted from the template library. You cannot apply a template while an active scheme already exists.
When a trigger fires, the earned reward appears in the pending list on the parent/Admin rewards screen. Once you've given the reward to the child in real life, tap "Mark issued" to clear it from the list. Children can see their earned-but-not-yet-issued rewards at the top of their rewards screen.
Common actions at a glance, plus a troubleshooting guide for the most frequent questions.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Can't create a reward scheme | Check you're within the 72-hour setup window after zone rotation (or family creation). If the window has closed, wait until the next monthly rotation. |
| Chore not appearing | The month may not be open yet. Ask your Admin to open the month — this generates all chore instances. |
| Trade is blocked | Ensure you have at least 1 token. Also check the chore isn't locked by an active trade or currently awaiting confirmation. |
| Join request not showing | Requests expire after a set period. The new member may need to re-submit if too much time has passed. |
| PIN not working | Tap "Forgot PIN?" on the login screen. Your Admin generates a temporary PIN for you to log in with. |
| Reward not triggered | Confirm all qualifying chores are confirmed (not just marked done) — auto-confirm takes 48 hours. Monthly completion bonuses only fire at month close. |
| Weekly summary missing | Summaries generate on Monday for the previous week. Tap "Refresh" on the chore tracker overview if it's not showing. |
